An overview of our current projects we are most proud of

Our Youth Ambassadors

We have been working with youth Ambassadors and running 2 projects ( After school club and Get Me Fit Again! at the moment granted by National community Fund)

This project allowing us to do multisport activities, ,organise trips during holidays as well...

We aim to facilitate and provide new sporting opportunities for children and young people from disadvantaged background. As research shows that after-school clubs can improve the academic performance and social skills of children from disadvantaged backgrounds, this project will not only have a positive impact on the health of these children but also on their academic performance.

Household support fund by Swansea Council to support families to ease their daily expenditure on food...

Womens Workshops

We are running women workshops as part of National Lottery Heritage Fund as Renew Mind Centre CIC has won National Lottery support for heritage restoration project on “New Light in the journey of brave women in Wales!”; where participants will learn more about the contribution of women during the WW1 and beyond and the influence this has on women contribution to the national economy.

Made possible thanks to money raised by National Lottery players, this project will help participants to get trained on different aspects of heritage such as objects interpretation,

community exhibition and research.

Providing Free counselling to young people

We are also running Counselling project at the moment funded by West Glamorgan Regional Partnership with Welsh government :

Renew Mind Centre is looking for the sustainability of this project as in 2021 SCVS funded us to do the same project , this year we continue and extend our previous project to reach as many people as possible by providing a free Humanistic counselling service to young people aged 11 to 25 years, adults, and families.

While counselling are focusing this time to reach 25 women, we will expand our work to supporting service users access services that have been difficult to access because of change of the way they work. The project has its focus on Black Minority Ethnic (BME) which constitute

most of our service users.

Currently, we have managed to organize many counselling sessions for members and families, but some people are still in need to have them or have extra sessions that can inform our service to decide on the better option of referrals.

2022 Projects at Renew Mind Centre has been amazing with massive impact, with over 250 participants in different activities.
